To do list.....

On this trip down island visiting the pro's was a high priority.  On the Wednesday we checked in with our dentist.  Everything went VERY smoothly.  This was Liam's first visit as a " big kid".  He sat on his own & was cool with having the whole treatment.  We will be back at the end of June for some followup work.  Let hope everything goes as smoothly as this trip.

The second visit on our " To do list" was to have everyone's " eye bulbs" as Liam calls them inspected......The boys both have perfect vision.  Keisha is going to be getting her first pair of glasses.  She is " far sighted".  Ana's eyes are doing well, however she as been instructed to wear sunglasses regularly.  I will be getting a new pair of glasses finally.  The doc would really like me to consider wearing contacts.  He believes it would be a better way to treat my vision issues.....I'm just to sqeemish !!!

Liam's birthday dinner

Over this past year the kids have created a new tradition.......birthday dinner's with Nana Val & Grandpa Bill in Courtenay.

 Nana always tries to include some of the birthday person's favorites.  Since Liam's favorite meal is breakfast the menu included sausages, french toast, yam hashbrowns & deviled eggs.  Our Nana is a kitchen genius !!  She has master the heart of making gluten free angel food cake that tastes amazing.  For Liam's birthday she made it with homemade blueberry sauce.  It was so Yummy !!!  Thanks Nana

Liam has been counting down to this week since Christmas !  Tomorrow is his actual birthday, however since we're heading down island he's celebrating today with his class.  As you can tell he's extremely excited about taking these Chocolate Chip Banana " Cupcakes" in for his class.  He's decided to call them cupcakes because they are iced.....but really they're super healthy & one of his fav's !!!

    When I woke this morning it was to complaining children, a whining puppy and a long list of chores calling my name.....needless to say I wasn't feeling too special, let alone relaxed & in love with motherhood.  My pal Penny had invited us & Lynne & her girls to join them for a " Mother's Day cook-up at the beach" this afternoon.  So in an effort to lighten my mood we packed up lunch & all the beach stuff and headed off !!
     It's was the right choice......we ate, played, took lots of pictures and relaxed !!!

We live in such a beautiful special place.....

Missoula Show day here in Port McNeill, B.C.

Let's start by saying what a great show or shows !!! It's hard to believe start to finish it only took 6 days.  We're already looking forward to next years production of " Treasure Island".  I'm totally up for being a theatre mom one week out of the year....I wish I could convince the others to give it a try !!
